The Architectural Heritage Society of Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan's heritage of natural beauty, unique communities, and significant cultural traditions is a source of pride for those who live here. This source of pride, place and identity makes our communities strong and vibrant and helps to attract and retain both people and business.

Support of Saskatchewan's heritage is important in order to ensure that future generations can learn from the past, build communities in the present, and ensure a prosperous, vital province in future.

As part of the province's network of local and provincial cultural organizations, the Architectural Heritage Society of Saskatchewan promotes appreciation and meaningful preservation of our province's rich built heritage. The Society:

  • convenes and adjudicates the annual Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Heritage Architecture Excellence Awards;
  • provides matching grant funding to member organizations for local or regional restoration projects, meetings and publications; and,
  • publishes Saskatchewan's Architectural Heritage Magazine, WORTH.

The Society also is providing administrative support for the Saskatchewan Youth Heritage Fair Association.
