This matching grant is intended to help the Society’s community-based member organizations to defray the cost of printing brochures or programs that promote public participation in local forums like conferences, presentations, panel discussions, seminars, workshops, awards ceremonies, walking tours, and other educational forums that encourage or empower people of the community or province to acknowledge, preserve and/or promote their built historic and cultural heritage.

Terms of Reference

The Board of Directors may approve grant funding for member organizations to print materials that promote interest in Saskatchewan’s built heritage.

This matching grant is available to help defray costs of printing, mailing or paper.

The maximum grant amount per annum is $200.

The amount of grant funding approved must be at least matched by the applicant.  Whether all matching funds come from the applying community or organization is not concern.

Approval of grants is subject to availability of funds.

The Board of Directors must approve all grant funding.

Procedures

  • Applicants should contact the Society's office and obtain a grant application form (see phone number below).  The application should be submitted well ahead of publication to allow for approval by the Society’s Board of Directors.  The Board meets four time per year.
  • Applicants will be advised in writing of the Board’s decision as soon as is possible after consideration.  Successful applicants will receive 75 percent of approved funding upon approval.  Funds not used in whole or in part must be returned to the Society.
  • Within 90 days of printing the publication in question, applicants must request payment of the remaining 25 percent of approved funding, in writing.  A compete follow-up report (guidelines below) and the original invoice for meeting space must be submitted with this request.  The invoice will be returned with our cheque.

  1. The Society must be acknowledged in the publication as a financial contributor.   Please use the following logo, which you may copy and paste from here.

  2. The Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust must be acknowledged in the publication as a financial contributor to the publication.  It must be stated that:

“The Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust financially supports Architectural Heritage Saskatchewan as well as many other non-profit provincial cultural organizations. The programs and projects of these organizations benefit the quality of life of most every Saskatchewan citizen.”

Acknowledgment of Lotteries support is considered essential by the cultural community and the Trust and must include the Sask Lotteries logo.   Copy and paste the logo from here.
